The standard we build to
WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the target this site is designed and reviewed against.
We are not claiming conformance. Testing with assistive technology and an independent accessibility audit have not been carried out.
What has been built in
- A skip link to the main content on every page, visible on keyboard focus.
- Semantic landmarks and an unbroken heading order on every page, verified by an automated check.
- A single, consistent focus indicator, inverted on dark backgrounds so it stays visible.
- Navigation, links, buttons and disclosures use standard HTML keyboard behaviour.
- Colour contrast computed against WCAG thresholds for every colour pairing in the design system, verified on every change.
- Text that reflows without loss of function down to a 320px viewport and up to 200% zoom.
- Reduced-motion preferences respected.
- No content that relies on colour alone to convey meaning.
- Every photograph carries alternative text, or an empty alt where the image is decorative and the text beside it already carries the meaning. No stock photography is used.
- Images declare their dimensions, so the page does not shift as photography loads.
- No cookies, no tracking and no third-party scripts, so nothing loads that we have not checked.
What has not been tested
The following areas have not been verified:
- No screen reader testing has been carried out. Behaviour with JAWS, NVDA or VoiceOver is unverified.
- No testing with voice control, switch access or screen magnification.
- No independent accessibility audit has been commissioned.
- Automated checking covers structure and colour, not the experience of using the site.
Reporting a problem
If you cannot use part of this site, please tell us at lawrence.jell@yourpeopleteam.co.uk. Describe what you were trying to do and what happened, and include the browser and any assistive technology you were using if you can.
Reports of accessibility barriers are treated as defects, not as feature requests.
